Fantastic restaurant - the best food on Kefalonia! We had a really memorable evening at Avithos Taverna! The food was sublime, the staff were extremely friendly and the setting fantastic. We were especially lucky, as a group of local Greek musicians were also dining there and they provided really good Greek music all evening. Lots of eating, drinking and laughing - overall a really memorable experience.

Great restaurant!! Excellent dishes!! Great staff!! I visited Kefalonia in May and ate at this restaurant most evenings and great local food and a warm welcome are only two of its strong points, as the ocean view location is peaceful and beautiful. The owner and waiter are nice guys and the tavernas own wine and olive oil both very good. We loved this area and it's variety of dishes and i will definitely return many times. The restaurant has produced their own recipe book and it's worth while getting a copy so you can experiment with the dishes at home.

The best taverna on the Island! This was our third year in Kefalonia and we spent most of our time in this restaurant! The food is incredible, authentic Greek food packed full of flavour and fresh ingredients. Panos and staff are so friendly and welcoming and always made every meal special. We literally were there for lunch and dinner every day! Dishes not to miss - the baked aubergines, chips, mousaka, sea bass and meatballs!
